We are extremely pleased to announce that the highly rated and exceeding efficient Ceia PMD3 Elliptic Mobile will be on show at the Security and Policing 2012 Exhibition held at the Five venue at Farnborough, Hampshire on stand K29 (Detectnology & Ceia).

This model is fully compliant with the new security standards for conventional and non-conventional weapons with a very high throughput and multi-zone target indication over the entire transit area.

Detectnology has been appointed to provide security equipment and technical support for this year’s Ryder Cup. Taking place at the Celtic Manor Resort, Wales, from 1-3 October, the golfing tournament will pit teams of professional players from the USA and Europe.

As part of Detectnology’s work for the competition, it will provide the installation, commissioning, servicing and de-commissioning of Archway Metal Detectors, hand-held scanners and X-ray equipment which will be deployed around The Twenty Ten Course and at the event’s park and ride sites.

At the very high Security Levels today required for Walk-Through Metal Detector inspection, a percentage of shoes containing significant metal masses cause the WTMD alarm, thus requiring additional/supplementary screening. Metal masses still cause alarms during transit and therefore have to be examined by security. This may cause inconvenience to passengers in transit and engage screeners in longer inspection processes.
