Ceia SMD601 High Security Archway Metal Detector

Metal detectors are a constantly evolving technology, whilst creating a device that can detect metal is repeatable by anyone with a basic understanding of physics the ability to accurately and uniformly detect metal, and to even be able to discriminate between what sort of metal and where it is, is significantly harder to achieve.

The CEIA SMD601 has been designed to allow highly accurate pinpointing of metal objects and is used to secure facilities such as high security prisons, research and manufacturing facilities and government buildings. It has a highly uniform detection over the whole of the portal and is able to discriminate as small as computer chips and other similar low metal content items. When combined with the Loss Prevention system from CEIA it is able to save passage profiles from when the individual being scanned entered the area and compare it with the current passage for amount and position of metal, this allows secure and quick transit as those being scanned do not need to divest but the detector will allow those items that were carried in to be carried out, whilst still alerting to the presence of new items.
