The threat to the general public is changing every day, once we were all concerned about the amount of guns and knives on our streets but now there are many more ways for terrorists or criminals to cause harm to innocent individuals or groups hence the greater need for security screening equipment in transport links, shopping malls, sporting venues, Court rooms and even hospitals which is probably why Evolv designed the first purpose built system to screen people for mass casualty threats while they pass through at walking speed. 

The Edge is ideal for high throughput environments with very limited divestment of personal items, automated detection of non metallic and metalic threats and harnessing Evolv's core building block millimetre wave technology and supported by magnetic field and optical sensors, this allows the multi sensor data to detect a range of threats from explosive vests and belts to firearms and other weapons that can be used to cause a mass casualty event and deliver an easy to read light system for a local or remote operator.

The Evolv Edge can be set up and moved around very quickly to enable random unpredictable screening points and members of the public will only have to divest items such as handbags and brief cases, the complete scan and decision process is less than five secounds per person.
